Veep

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Friday, 7.30pm, Showcase Still at the White House, vice-president Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Seinfeld) crashes her way through the day’s hectic schedule swearing like a sailor, treating staff badly and generally being a pain. The West Wing it ain’t. Created by Armando Iannucci (his other political satires include The Thick of It and In the Loop), it’s sometimes amusing. If you haven’t caught it, here’s your opportunity to watch all eight episodes of the first series in one hit. I think not.
