Eric Clapton: Crossroads Guitar Festival

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Saturday, 9pm, Studio Eric Clapton, an oldie but a goodie, founded the Crossroads Centre — a 32-bed facility for addiction treatment — in Antigua in 1997. To help raise funds, he organised some of the best guitarists in the US to join him on stage in 2007, 2010 and this year. The performance here was his first festival — held in Dallas in June 2004 — and features Carlos Santana, Bo Diddley, Booker T & the MG’s and JJ Cale, among many others. What these guys can do with a guitar is astounding. Who knew there were so many different types of the one instrument?
