Thurs­day, 9pm, ABC1 This is the other ABC pro­gram that has proved a big suc­cess. The first five episodes of the en­sem­ble com­edy se­riesIt’s a Date scored a metro av­er­age au­di­ence of 848,000, with a to­tal TV share of 15.9 per cent. Writ­ten by Peter Hel­liar, it tack­les the per­ils of dat­ing to­day; each episode fol­lows two cou­ples who are ap­proach­ing ro­mance with dif­fer­ent is­sues. Lisa McCune, Poh Ling Yeow, Asher Ked­die and Pia Mi­randa are just some who have ap­peared. In tonight’s fi­nale, Ali­son (Heidi Valken­burg) thinks boyfriend Michael (Peter Row­sthorn) will pop the ques­tion.
