The Ronnie Wood Show
Friday, 9.30pm, Studio Guitarist Ronnie Wood’s career began in 1964 when he joined the Birds and hopped from band to band until his old mate Keith Richards invited him to join the Rolling Stones in 1974. He’s a man of many talents: bet you didn’t know he’s a dab hand with a paintbrush and pencil. His paintings, drawings and prints have been exhibited all over the world. Several — including a work commissioned by Andrew Lloyd-Webber — are displayed at London’s Drury Lane Theatre. Through his music and art Wood, 66, has become something of a legend and has no trouble getting old chums to join him for an impromptu jam session and a chat about the hairy days of rock ‘ n’ roll. Here, Alice Cooper joins him for a dose of nostalgia.
