Love, Hate & Propaganda: World War II Tuesday, 8.30pm, History

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

In 1941: Meet the Enemy, the third episode of this six-part series, the use of propaganda for the first time by all sides in a war comes under the microscope. Messages — including half-truths and outright lies — were broadcast through cinemas, posters, radio addresses, songs, speeches and rallies. There was no avoiding them and they mostly achieved their aim: to sway a nation and inspire love, devotion, anger and hatred. .
