The Simpsons

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television Free To Air - Lyndall Crisp

Saturday, 6pm, Ten Twenty years on screen and now in its 26th season, The Simpsons is the longest running scripted show on television. It has won 27 Primetime Emmy awards, 30 Annie awards and spawned a billion-dollar merchandising industry. Featuring Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie and set in the fictional town of Springfield, it satirises every aspect of American culture. Here in Labor Pains, Homer delivers a baby in a lift and ends up bonding with it, much to the disappointment of his own children. Lisa organises her football team’s cheerleaders into a union in a bid to get more pay.
