The Weekend Australian - Review - - Out & About - Chris Boyd

Absinthe Absinthe is an extraordinarily polished, dynamic, bullet-train of a show. And let’s not forget racy. Our MC, the Gazillionaire, would have to be the most foulmouthed, offensive and scintillatingly bigoted comic I have encountered. There are performers with the most extraordinary bodies doing the most extraordinary things. Belarus duo Aliaksandr Yurkaveats and Andrew Sizonenko are a definition of pacy precision in their horizontal bar double act. Equally improbable is the handbalancing act from Poles Michal Tomasz Nowosadko and Zbigniew Sobierajski. It’s the kind of act one would encounter in a Burlesque Hour show. (Pictured, Angie Sylvia performs her Fire Burlesque.) Hyde Park, Sydney. Opens Tuesday. Tickets: $65-$136. Bookings: 1300 795 012 or online. Until October 4.
