The Mu­seum of Con­tem­po­rary Art’s 24th Pri­mav­era ex­hi­bi­tion for young artists will dis­play the work of seven in­di­vid­u­als work­ing with sound, video, in­stal­la­tion and earth ma­te­ri­als, fo­cus­ing on themes of sur­vival and re­vival of cul­tural pro­duc­tion. “The prac­tices fore­grounded in this ex­hi­bi­tion, and the cul­tures and con­di­tions of life, work and history that Tide­line In­flu­enced heav­ily by her ca­reer as a ge­ol­o­gist, El­iz­a­beth Truswell’s draw­ings are the re­sult of a visit to the cliffs and dra­matic river sys­tems of the Kim­ber­ley coast of Western Aus­tralia in 2012. The works re­flect her per­spec­tive of the cliff sec­tions of the an­cient sand­stones as she ap­proached them from a small boat.
