Maxim Vengerov It’s hard to imag­ine a more im­pres­sive mu­si­cal come­back than that by Maxim Vengerov. Af­ter years in the wilder­ness fol­low­ing a shoul­der in­jury, the Rus­sian vi­o­lin­ist re­built him­self, re-emerg­ing tri­umphantly in 2012 not just with a more compact vi­o­lin tech­nique, but also as a com­pe­tent con­duc­tor. He tours Aus­tralia in a se­ries of con­certs that cel­e­brate 70 years of Mu­sica Viva, per­form­ing works by Bach, Beethoven, Ravel, Pa­ganini, Ernst and Ysaye.
