Truth (M) Cate Blanchett gives a performance to equal her Oscar-winning role in Blue Jasmine in this compelling film about the scandal that enveloped the American edition of 60 Minutes, its anchor, Dan Rather (Robert Redford), and producer (Blanchett) during the 2004 US presidential campaign. Made in Australia by writer-director James Vanderbilt, the film features top contributions by an Australian crew and some excellent actors, notably Noni Hazlehurst, who is exceptional as the loyal wife of a retired military man (Stacy Keach) whose role is pivotal. The film is getting a very small release and deserves wider exposure.
