Running Wild with Bear Grylls and President Barack Obama

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Bear Grylls has coaxed some big names on to his survival show, but they don’t come any bigger than this. President Barack Obama joins him on a challenging trek across the Alaskan wilderness (along with 50 Secret Service, plus staff), chatting as they go about family, fatherhood and the environment. Grylls teaches the leader of the free world some survival tricks (which could come in handy) and they eat a salmon half chewed by a bear. Apparently Obama, a fan, approached Grylls to do the show. “I hope I can keep up,” he says.
