Agatha Christie’s Marple

The Weekend Australian - Review - - Television -

Twenty-three episodes dating back to 2005 prove that Agatha Christie’s skill as a crime writer still captures the imagination of audiences from Norway and the Czech Republic to Canada and South Korea nearly 40 years after she died. Tonight, in The Moving Finger, a series of poison pen letters is sent to residents of Lymstock, one of those sleepy English villages where they haven’t, but should, introduce zero tolerance. When two recipients commit suicide, Jane Marple (Julia McKenzie) decides it’s time to investigate.
