The Weekend Australian - Review - - Out & About - David Stratton

Mustang (M) In many ways this is an excellent Turkish film by French-based Deniz Gamze Erguven, who has been inspired by some of her childhood memories in this story of five orphaned sisters being reared in a repressive environment where arranged marriages are the norm. These rebellious girls are wonderful company and the young actresses give fine performances, though the film’s feel-good conclusion stretches credulity. More serious is the liability of the jittery camerawork. Independence Day: Resurgence
