Tom Cruise reprises his role as IMF agent Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol (Saturday, 8.30pm, Ten), the fourth instalment and highest-grossing film in the series. Also the highest-grossing performance by Cruise, the movie was a critical and commercial success. Director Brad Bird shot with IMAX cameras for 30 minutes of runtime offering greater viewer immersion with a higher-quality image finish. There’s nice prickly revenge comedy in The Other Woman (Sunday, 9pm, Ten), directed by Nick Cassavetes, starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton and Leslie Mann. New York lawyer Carly Whitten (Diaz) lives by strict rules in romantic relationships, but falls unexpectedly for suave Mark King (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). A surprise visit to Mark’s home reveals he is in fact married to devoted housewife Kate (Mann). But dodgy Mark has also been seeing a third chick (Upton). If you’re an Owen Wilson fan, there’s Drillbit Taylor (Tuesday, 8.30pm, Eleven), in which three high school best friends desperate to protect themselves from a sadistic bully place an ad in a magazine and Wilson’s down-on-his luck mercenary is ready for action. He is the best thing in the movie.
