The Weekend Australian - Review - - Music Reviews - Iain Shedden

It has been a week cram-packed with celebration in the local music industry this week, not least at the ARIA awards on Wednesday night when Flume, Sia and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard were just some of the names up in lights for their achievements in the past year. It’s an even bigger week for Crowded House, which is in the middle of a four-night return to performing — on the forecourt of Sydney Opera House, to celebrate the band’s induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame on Wednesday, and the 20th anniversary of its Farewell to the World show at the Opera House. The question now is whether this run of shows will prompt more dates and perhaps even a new Crowdies album at some point. Lead singer Neil Finn isn’t giving much away, however, other than to say that the door hasn’t closed completely on that part of his career. What we can expect is a new Finn solo album next year.
