This ex­hi­bi­tion pre­sents work from all the artists now work­ing at Iwan­tja Arts, an in­dige­nousowned and run cen­tre in the In­dulkana com­mu­nity in South Aus­tralia. The cen­tre pre­sents its mem­bers with pro­fes­sional artis­tic op­por­tu­ni­ties and fi­nan­cial in­de­pen­dence. Ex­hibit­ing artists in­clude Vin­cent Na­matjira, Alec Baker and Kay­lene Whiskey. Leopold and Ru­dolf Blaschka For about 70 years, hid­den away in a small col­lect­ing box, was a trea­sure trove of 48 frag­ile glass mod­els of sea crea­tures dat­ing from the late 19th cen­tury. When the box re­cently was re­dis­cov­ered, it was at first un­clear when the mu­seum had pur­chased these price­less glass mod­els and even un­cer­tain who had made them. Fi­nally, in 2009, through metic­u­lous re­search, Egan con­firmed that the glass mod­els were made by cel­e­brated Ger­man sci­en­tific model In the Mood Set in the 1940s, In the Mood ex­plores the era’s voices and dances.
