OLD AND THE NEW
GLENMORANGIE Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky distillery, a revered 164-year-old Scottish institution in West Lothian, has given birth to a new range.
The original (10-year-old) whisky has been renamed, with true Highland logic, Glenmorangie Original and resides in an elegant new bottle.
And the added extra-matured range comes in three versions: Glenmorangie Lasanta (matured in Spanish oloroso sherry casks), Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban (matured in Portuguese port pipes) and Glenmorangie Nectar D’Or (matured in French sauternes wine barriques, with key flavour notes of lemon and syrup). All have at least 10 years of initial maturation in exbourbon casks, then the extramatured whiskies are further finished in their specially selected wine barrels. Available now, for $80, $85 and $95 respectively. Glenmorangie Original sells for $70, Glenmorangie 18-year-old for $180 and, to really spoil yourself, 25-yearold is a mere $450. Judith Elen
