Trentham Estate Victorian range TRENTHAM Estate, long guided by the skills of Tony Murphy, has provided one answer to the uncertainties of the Murray Darling (the estate sits on the Murray at Trentham Cliffs, just upstream of Mildura) by creating a Victorian portfolio to sit above the other Trentham ranges. Yarra Valley Chardonnay, Heathcote Shiraz and Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir were variously made in 2005 and 2006, along with a non-vintage Mount Macedon Pinot Chardonnay. The 2005 Heathcote Shiraz ($25, 94 points) and 2005 Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir ($25, 93 points) both underline the ability of Murphy to unlock the synergy between each variety and its chosen region.
