THE FIVE GOLDEN RULES
1. Try grappa after wine with dinner, or drink well-aged riserva instead of cognac. 2. Use grappa as a novel replacement for traditional spirit bases in classics such as martinis, caipirinhas or sours. 3. Add grappa to espresso for caffe corretto (‘‘corrected coffee’’) or serve sweetened espresso alongside a glass of grappa. 4. Serve grappa shots in the correct glasses — small and tulip-shaped with open rims. 5. Try serving biancas chilled (9C-13C).
