GET snap­ping in T&I’s weekly pho­to­graphic con­test, in as­so­ci­a­tion with Orion Ex­pe­di­tion Cruises, for a chance to win one 10-night For­got­ten Is­lands pho­tog­ra­phy cruise for two in 2013, val­ued at more than $21,000.

First run­ner-up will re­ceive a $250 voucher for a se­lec­tion of Orion bou­tique prod­ucts; sec­ond run­ner-up wins a signed copy of The Bathers’ Pavilion Cafe Cook­book by Orion’s con­sul­tant chef Serge Dansereau, val­ued at $39.99.

Sim­ply send in your ti­tled and cap­tioned photo that you be­lieve best cap­tures the spirit of Aus­tralia, and if it’s se­lected by T&I as one of the (up to) five best im­ages re­ceived that week, it will be fea­tured in an on­line gallery on our web­site.

On­line read­ers can vote for their favourite gallery shot, and each week’s win­ning im­age will be pub­lished in your T&I week­end sup­ple­ment.

Each week’s suc­cess­ful pho­tog­ra­pher will be short­listed for the main cruise prize and run­ners-up prizes, to be judged on cre­ativ­ity, tech­nique and orig­i­nal­ity in cap­tur­ing the spirit of Aus­tralia by T&I’s panel of ex­perts on Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 12, 2012.

One on­line voter each week will win an au­to­graphed copy of Dansereau’s The Bathers’ Pavilion Cafe Cook­book.

To be el­i­gi­ble to win the book, vot­ers must de­scribe in 25 words or less why they have nom­i­nated the shot.

The prize will be awarded to the most cre­ative and well­writ­ten en­try among those nom­i­nat­ing the win­ning photo. Send in your week three photo en­tries by 11.59pm on Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 15 (Sydney time). To be el­i­gi­ble, pho­tos must be a min­i­mum of 1MB, and be ti­tled and cap­tioned. En­trants must also in­clude their postal ad­dress and day­time tele­phone num­ber.
