Rock­pool’s Neil Perry will host an Ital­ian din­ner at The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand’s Bay of Is­lands on July 27, fea­tur­ing dishes from his new Mel­bourne restau­rant, Rosetta. An af­ter­noon cook­ing demon­stra­tion and a din­ner by Perry, matched with Ital­ian wines, are in­cluded in the $NZ800 ($649) per per­son a night tar­iff. Turk­ish-born chef Somer Sivri­oglu, of Syd­ney’s Efendy restau­rant, will host a gourmet ad­ven­ture to Turkey with World Ex­pe­di­tions on Septem­ber 1. The 13-day Turk­ish De­lights tour will of­fer a be­hind-the-scenes look at Turkey’s food cul­ture, in­clud­ing the Spice Mar­ket and Grand Bazaar in Is­tan­bul, a tour of mar­kets and gar­dens with a lo­cal chef in Edremit, a visit to the an­cient ru­ins of Eph­e­sus, and a hosted din­ner with Sivri­oglu’s mother, a lo­cal chef.
