Rockpool’s Neil Perry will host an Italian dinner at The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand’s Bay of Islands on July 27, featuring dishes from his new Melbourne restaurant, Rosetta. An afternoon cooking demonstration and a dinner by Perry, matched with Italian wines, are included in the $NZ800 ($649) per person a night tariff. Turkish-born chef Somer Sivrioglu, of Sydney’s Efendy restaurant, will host a gourmet adventure to Turkey with World Expeditions on September 1. The 13-day Turkish Delights tour will offer a behind-the-scenes look at Turkey’s food culture, including the Spice Market and Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, a tour of markets and gardens with a local chef in Edremit, a visit to the ancient ruins of Ephesus, and a hosted dinner with Sivrioglu’s mother, a local chef.
