ETI­HAD, the na­tional car­rier of the United Arab Emi­rates, based in Abu Dhabi, is launch­ing a Face­book com­pe­ti­tion to tie in with its newly aired global brand cam­paign, which has been placed across print, dig­i­tal and out­door ad­ver­tis­ing plat­forms. Themed ‘‘The World Is Our Home, You Are Our Guest’’, the ads were launched on March 3 and en­trants have un­til April 30 to sub­mit im­ages of them­selves and their home city into the Face­book page’s Be My Guest com­pe­ti­tion tab to cre­ate a be­spoke Time­line cover im­age. Two win­ners (cho­sen from the top 10 en­tries as voted by the air­line’s Face­book com­mu­nity) will each re­ceive four Co­ral econ­omy-class re­turn tick­ets to their cho­sen des­ti­na­tions on the air­line’s global net­work. The com­mer­cial has no cheesy nar­ra­tion or shriek­ing claims, but features a cool Bobby Darin sound­track: ‘‘The world is full of beau­ti­ful things . . .’’ Classy stuff.
