The Weekend Australian - Travel - - Destination Luxury - SUSAN KUROSAWA

WHOdoesn’t love a bit of affordable luxury and the best-looking small SUV we have in our sights this summer is the new Hyundai ix35 Series II with upgraded direct-injection petrol engine and enhanced exterior and interior features. At T&I we admit our eyes glaze over at the mention of the mysterious inner workings of cars but can attest we love a bit of A-League football (pictured: NSWCentral Coast Mariners, 2013 champs). Hyundai Australia has been the official partner and naming rights sponsor of the competition since 2004 and claims that soccer is the fastest-growing club sport in the country. Hyundai also supports the Goals for Grassroots program wherein one junior club is selected for each round of the season and receives 20 match-day tickets and a minimum $1000 donation, with an extra $1000 for every goal the home team scores (the program has contributed more than $400,000). What better way to get to an A-League game, we reckon, than in one of these new vehicles, priced from $26,990. There are four fixtures this weekend and the calendar stretches to the grand final on May 4. More: footballaustralia.com.au; hyundai.com.au.
