WHO­doesn’t love a bit of af­ford­able lux­ury and the best-look­ing small SUV we have in our sights this sum­mer is the new Hyundai ix35 Se­ries II with up­graded di­rect-in­jec­tion petrol en­gine and en­hanced ex­te­rior and in­te­rior fea­tures. At T&I we ad­mit our eyes glaze over at the men­tion of the mys­te­ri­ous in­ner work­ings of cars but can at­test we love a bit of A-League foot­ball (pic­tured: NSW­Cen­tral Coast Mariners, 2013 champs). Hyundai Aus­tralia has been the of­fi­cial part­ner and nam­ing rights spon­sor of the com­pe­ti­tion since 2004 and claims that soc­cer is the fastest-grow­ing club sport in the coun­try. Hyundai also supports the Goals for Grass­roots pro­gram wherein one ju­nior club is se­lected for each round of the sea­son and re­ceives 20 match-day tick­ets and a min­i­mum $1000 dona­tion, with an ex­tra $1000 for ev­ery goal the home team scores (the pro­gram has con­trib­uted more than $400,000). What bet­ter way to get to an A-League game, we reckon, than in one of th­ese new ve­hi­cles, priced from $26,990.
