CHECK IT OUT I LE ROYAL MONCEAU RAFFLES PARIS

The Weekend Australian - Travel - - Travel & Indulgence - CHRISTINE McCABE

149-room inventory, with interiors courtesy of design maestro Philippe Starck.

All the hallmarks of Parisian luxury, from monogrammed linen and cloud-soft duvets to Michelin-starred food, are here but in paying witty homage to French culture Starck has created a very un-stuffy ‘‘next generation’’ hotel.

Behind the conventional facade lie mirrored guestrooms, a wonderful art collection, private cinema patronised by the likes of Steven Spielberg, all-white Clarins day spa and what could be the smartest kids’ club ever (treasure hunts in the Egyptian galleries of the Louvre are among its activities).
