THE Westin brand has re­turned to Sin­ga­pore in high style with the re­cent open­ing of a hand­some, light-filled ho­tel atop a new of­fice tower in Ma­rina Bay at the heart of the city’s busy fi­nan­cial district. Oc­cu­py­ing lev­els 32 to 46 of the Asia Square Tower 2, The Westin Sin­ga­pore af­fords fan­tas­tic views of the container-filled port and South China Sea.

Check-in on level 32, Sin­ga­pore’s high­est ho­tel lobby, comes with a chilled drink and jet­lag­beat­ing views through 11m-high win­dows, a lofty per­spec­tive shared by all 305 gue­strooms and suites. The luxe bath­rooms are es­pe­cially smart and, in many room cat­e­gories, the deep tub, with a handy shelf for books and drinks, and shower re­cess, are set be­side floor-to-ceil­ing win­dows.
