CHECK IT OUT I THE WESTIN SINGAPORE
HOTEL OF THE WEEK
THE Westin brand has returned to Singapore in high style with the recent opening of a handsome, light-filled hotel atop a new office tower in Marina Bay at the heart of the city’s busy financial district. Occupying levels 32 to 46 of the Asia Square Tower 2, The Westin Singapore affords fantastic views of the container-filled port and South China Sea.
Check-in on level 32, Singapore’s highest hotel lobby, comes with a chilled drink and jetlagbeating views through 11m-high windows, a lofty perspective shared by all 305 guestrooms and suites. The luxe bathrooms are especially smart and, in many room categories, the deep tub, with a handy shelf for books and drinks, and shower recess, are set beside floor-to-ceiling windows.
Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool with sunken sun lounges, lovely day spa and urbane lobby lounge specialising in well-priced cocktails. All facilities have bird’s-eye panoramas. Also try: Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong; Four Seasons Guangzhou; Grand Hyatt Shanghai; Park Hyatt Tokyo.
