When in New York ... go to a game. But if baseball is your thing, don’t line up with the crowds or settle for a seat in the bleachers. The spacious Audi Yankees Club, on the Suite Level at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, offers great value for New York Yankees games at an average of $US135 ($175.50) a person on weekdays and $US20-$40 extra on weekends. There’s a substantial and frequently replenished buffet, with generous serves of seafood and separate dessert spread, soft drinks included and alcohol for sale. High-definition television monitors screen the game and there are uninterrupted views of the field through picture windows. Assigned seating is at tables or individual window-side perches; there’s also a bar and waiter service. The website information on premium hospitality is confusing, suggesting you need a minimum group of 10, but click through to ticket sales and follow prompts for individual tickets. Arrive well before the game for uninterrupted dining and tip your “server” upfront for best attention. It’s not quite the same as being amid the roar of the fans, but is a heck of a lot more comfortable. More: newyork.yankees.mlb.com.
