Yarrangobilly Caves are in the northern section of Kosciuszko National Park, NSW, about 80km from Tumut or 110km from Cooma. The last 6km of the road to the caves is unsealed. Yarrangobilly Caves House is divided into 1901 and 1917 sections and offers self-catering accommodation to individuals and groups. The large kitchen is wellequipped, with three cooking stations, and there is a communal dining room and lounge. From $148.63 a night twin-share in an ensuite queen room in the 1917 section. This month (August) guests can stay three nights for the price of two. Only one of the caves is open for selfguided tours; the others can be visited with a guide.
