There will be a guest speaker over morn­ing tea at 9.30am. The event takes place along the Brins­mead to Red­lynch bike path on Fresh­wa­ter Creek. PALM COVE DOG SHOW Treat your furry friends to a fun day out with YAPS fundraiser the Palm Cove Dog Show on Sun­day. Reg­is­tra­tion is at 8am at the north end of the Es­planade, with events be­gin­ning at 8.30am. En­try is $10 and the judg­ing cater­gories in­clude cutest cou­ple – dogs an chil­dren, fancy dress dogs and han­dlers, most unusual and so many more. MU­SIC FOR THE BRAIN Com­mu­nity fundraiser Mu­sic for the Brain will be held at The Bal­a­clava Ho­tel on Sun­day from noon un­til late. The event aims to raise public aware­ness on the preva­lence and ef­fects of Ac­quired Brain In­juries as well as rais­ing funds for peak body Synapse. All funds raised will go to­wards en­hanc­ing the abil­ity of the SAIF Cairns project (Sup­ported Ac­com­mo­da­tion In­no­va­tion Fund). The event in­cludes mem­o­ra­bilia, raf­fles, res­tau­rant meals and live mu­sic from per­form­ers in­clud­ing Johnny sanchez, Ma­grove Jack, Job­stop­per (above) and more. Ph: 4054 3588.
