In­ter­na­tion­ally renowned con­cert pi­anist Ro­man Rud­nyt­sky will per­form at St Mon­ica’s Cathe­dral at 1.30pm to­mor­row, Sun­day, Septem­ber 24. Rud­nyt­sky will be joined by Cairns Con­cert Orches­tra and Cairns Youth Orches­tra for a pro­gram which in­cludes works by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Haydn and Liszt. A grad­u­ate of New York’s fa­mous Juil­liard School, he be­gan his study at age four and gave his first recital at seven. Tanks monthly mar­kets are a unique slice of cul­tural life in the trop­ics and a must-do event on the Cairns cal­en­dar. Tanks Arts Cen­tre presents Sun­day Mar­kets, held on the last Sun­day of ev­ery month from April to Novem­ber. Lo­cated on Collins Ave at Edge Hill, the mar­kets run be­tween 9am and 2pm. All-singing, all-danc­ing, all-har­mon­is­ing trio The Koi Boys will be res­i­dent at The Reef Ho­tel Casino for four nights from Septem­ber 27-30, per­form­ing at BAR36.
