SPRING is here and it has kicked Cairns into full party mode as we dive into the final few months of the year.

Party season always brings with it the dilemma of what to wear when you are attending multiple events and more often than not, I’m left scratching my head for a while before I can make a final decision.

Recently, I received an invitation to the SS17 (Spring/ Summer) VIP fashion night, which was held on the balcony at Tosca Trattoria Bar and Pizzeria at Cairns Central.

The view looking out over the Cairns City lights was beautiful and along with makeup demonstrations and a catwalk show put together by Cairns stylists Pip Addison and Pip Miller, the event gave me some much-needed outfit inspiration.

The evening was hosted by former contestant Maddi Wright and the fashion show did not disappoint, with well-known local fashionista Amanda Macor commenting that she “loved the styling”.

Centre marketing manager Louise Struber said she was thrilled to welcome more than 40 VIPs to the spring-summer fashion event, including a number of Cairns media personalities and bloggers.

“Cairns is blessed with an ideal environment for summer fashion, so it’s all about finding those perfect, everyday pieces that are chic, yet still relaxed and practical enough for an effortless, tropical lifestyle,” she said.
