Subaru reveals WRX to tackle the Nurburgring
SUBARU and performance division Subaru Tecnica International (STI) have unveiled a stunning race-car version of the new-generation WRX STI.
The racing car will be used in the Nurburgring 24-hour endurance race in Germany from June 19-22 this year.
It will be STI’s seventh consecutive year at the Nurburgring and the STI will be aiming for its third victory in the SP3T class. As with last year’s campaign, Hideharu Tatsumi will be team manager, in addition to being responsible for development of the car.
Toshihiro Yoshida and Kouta Sasaki, both from Japan, will be listed as drivers, with two more to be announced from Europe.
The new road-going version of the STI has also been unveiled at the Detroit motor show.
