Rum­ble up for dad’s day

THE rum­ble of V8s will per­me­ate the In­n­is­fail Show­grounds to­mor­row for the Cas­sowary Coast Car Show and ‘‘Blokes mar­ket’’.

The event will be hosted by the Po­lice Cit­i­zens’ Youth Club with or­gan­is­ers co-or­di­na­tor Mick Maguire, po­lice li­ai­son of­fi­cer Stacey Kneubuh­ler and Emma John­son work­ing hard to en­sure an ex­cel­lent day.

With mus­cle cars on show, prizes ev­ery half-hour and many stalls, there will be some­thing for ev­ery­one.

Car en­thu­si­asts can en­ter one of the 11 com­pe­ti­tion cat­e­gories best hot rod, best Holden, best mus­cle car, best project car, best Ford, best sound, best modern, best in­ter­na­tional, best in­te­rior, best 4wd and best clas­sic.

Food, drink and live mu­sic will be avail­able all day.

The first 50 men through the gate re­ceive a gift pack, mak­ing it a per­fect Fa­ther’s Day gift.

“I am a car en­thu­si­ast and I rec­om­mend ev­ery­one come down and see some great cars,” Mr Kneubuh­ler said.

“It’s a great way to spoil dad for Fa­ther’s Day.”

Gates open to the gen­eral pub­lic at 9am. En­try is $2 for pub­lic, $5 for car en­trants and $10 for mar­ket stall­hold­ers.

All pro­ceeds from the event sup­port the PCYC.
