Owner Luke Dougherty opened OSMR in 2008, and prides himself on offering personal one-on-one service, with the desire and passion for the job to be done right.

Luke, a sole trader, is willing to take on the odd or unusual job. He’s multi-traded and qualified as a diesel fitter, fitter machinist, motor mechanic and lots more.

“I enjoy solving problems, providing not just good service but also solutions. Selfsatisfaction is high at the conclusion of work,” he says.

Luke grew up around the industry, and says that small business is a family tradition.

OSMR offers stainless steel and aluminium welding or fabrication, small machining services, all vehicle repairs (including trucks, tractors, forklifts, boats, harvesters and more) and onsite service and repairs.

Luke says he can work on “lawnmowers to prime movers, nothing is too small, and nothing is too big.” He can also take on agricultural, industrial and marine jobs.

OSMR also supplies Lucas Oils, which Luke says perform well and have not let him down.

“Their motor sport manager came all the way to Australia to visit me and I have a direct relationship with their technical laboratories in the USA.”

With so many services offered by OSMR, residents of the Northern Beaches don’t need to travel far for all their mechanical needs.
