DIE-HARD Taipans fan Coleen Lander will be bleeding orange in South Australia tonight.

The Brinsmead retiree is booked on a 10am flight to Adelaide with partner Brian Jewell and Atherton friends Rebel Warren and Dave Parsons to cheer the snakes into a miraculous finals’ berth.

The Far North’s favourite sons take on the 36ers at 7pm with the chance of snaring a top-two finish. “I hope we win,” she said. “This season has been so unpredictable, but you always want to be positive as far as your team goes.”

Ms Lander, who is a foundation member from 2004, never misses a home game.

“Holidays and things get revolved around the basketball season,” she said.

There is a chance the Tai- pans could play Adelaide again on Wednesday.

Ms Lander has already committed to extending her stay if they do.

She said captain Cameron Gliddon, who slotted 16 points in the Taipan’s 89-85 win on Thursday night, was her favourite player.

“We have a bit of a joke – I cook him brownies. I am like his Cairns mum, but I like them all,” she said.
