THERE’S nothing worse than a lack of imagination when you go on a date in Far North Queensland. A walk along the Esplanade with a gelato in hand can only be done so many times before you start cringing at the idea of having to make small talk with yet another potential partner, with a scoop of passionfruit sorbet slowly dripping down your arm. We live in what is arguably the most beautiful place in the world, so why not take advantage of it to impress your new special someone? Taking a trip up to Palm Cove or Port Douglas with a picnic packed for two, or slipping on your togs and heading up to Mossman Gorge for a dip will show your potential sweetheart that you’re not only thoughtful, but that you're also not boring. The sky is the limit for how many places you can explore as a duo. The Great Barrier Reef is on our doorstep, but so is the Daintree. She loves astrology? Take her to the Crystal Caves. He loves nature? Take a trip to Tarzali. So the next time you want to ramp up the romance between you and your significant other, forget the gelato and take advantage of the wilderness that makes this part of the world so spectacular.
