Free clinic source of guidance

CONDOMS, counselling and disease testing are some of the services available at the Cairns Hospital’s free specialist sexual health clinic.

The service is available to everyone, whether you are a traveller or long-term resident, and confidentiality is assured.

No appointments are needed for walk-in clinics, which are open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8.30am to 11.30am and 1pm to 3.30pm.

The clinic is also open on Thursday from 8.30am to 11.30am and 1pm to 6pm, as well as Fridays from 1pm to 3.30am. It is closed on weekends.

Services available include testing and treatment of sexually transmissible infections, HIV and hepatitis, condoms/ lube, needle and syringe packs, contraceptions, pregnancy options, post-exposure prophylaxis, sexuality questions, transgender care and counselling.

Referrals are not needed.
