Ready to step out for races
A SOUTHERN fashion icon known for her bright designs and detail will take the Cairns Amateurs Carnival by storm as the official ambassador.
Renowned milliner and designer Angela Menz will join the Fashions on the Field judging panel and take part in the Cairns Central Ladies Fashion High Tea, which will be held on the Cairns Esplanade for the first time.
Ms Menz said judging Cairns Amateurs’ Fashions on the Field was the highlight of her 2017 social calendar.
“The ladies and gentlemen of Cairns always put their best fashion foot forward at the track and as a lover of colour I’m always so happy seeing all the stunning outfits come together at Fashions on the Field,” she said.
“While judging Fashions on the Field, I will be looking for attention to detail, outfits that show personality and a great overall look.”
“I’m so thrilled and honoured to be the Cairns Amateurs Ambassador and look forward to another fantastic carnival,” she said.
“[It] is a highlight of the racing calendar and I ... enjoy the community spirit and excitement when I step out at Cannon Park Racecourse.” Cairns Amateurs Carnival runs from Thursday, August 31 to Saturday, September 2 at Cannon Park.
