Bring out your pre-loved fashion
THE quest to raise funds for the Cairns community has never been quite so stylish.
Tomorrow’s Your Wardrobe Cairns event will bring pre-loved fashion to the Cairns Showground in the city’s largest pop-up recycled fashion event.
Organiser Kay Judd said the event would also raise funds for two charities close to the community’s heart, FNQ Cerebral Palsy and the Project Booyah youth mentoring program.
The event has previously raised more than $5000 for Ruth’s Women’s Shelter and The Pyjama Foundation.
“Your Wardrobe Cairns is the perfect opportunity for individuals to update their wardrobe while at the same time give back to the community and contribute to a sustainable environment,” she said.
“We truly value our ongoing relationship within the Cairns community and are proud that we can facilitate an activity that helps individuals and the community as a whole.
“Your Wardrobe Cairns is a great way for residents to sell and recycle their pre-loved clothing, perhaps for the first time and receive a little thankyou for their efforts in supporting a charitable cause and the environment.”
Your Wardrobe Cairns will run this Sunday at the Fred Moule Pavilion. Gates open at 9am and entry requires a gold coin donation.
Anyone wanting to take part in the clothes sale can contact Kay Judd at firstname.lastname@example.org.
