FIGHTING FIT AND READY

The Weekend Post - - Sport -

Q How are you feeling ahead of the new season, Nate?

A I’m trying to come out and have a breakout year … I’ve been quiet for a few years. With a shoulder injury, all I’ve been able to do is run and hopefully I’m back in a few weeks. I’m trying to get into great shape and come out and have an impact for the Taipans and help the club go a step or two further than last year. We are coming together as a group. We all know what the one goal is and we’ve got the core of the team back. We want to do something special. Cairns the city would go off if we won the championship.

Q You look the fittest I reckon I have ever seen you (in the last two years or so). How have you

A I am not too sure yet how fit I am because I have not been on court yet but I feel good. I have done a lot of swimming, F45 … some running. I have been lifting a lot too, heavier than previously. Mostly leg weights. I have been eating right. I have been trying to really focus on the team.

got yourself in such great shape while still rehabbing your shoulder?
