JADE Thomas is not sure how she will react if Sir Elton John plays his sentimental single

Your Song tonight, but there could possibly be tears.

Sir Elton’s music has touched millions and for Ms Thomas, her mother and sister, Elly, his Once in a Lifetime concert in Cairns will bring back plenty of memories.

Ms Thomas’ parents loved the 2001 movie Moulin Rouge, in which star Ewan McGregor sings a rendition of Your Song.

From that moment the Thomas sisters were hooked on the British pop star’s songs.

“We still watch that movie. I don’t know what will happen when it comes on, I think we’ll

all just sing and try not to cry. I think it’ll be really good.

“Rocket Man is always a good one too. I’m sure Elton John will be cranking in the lounge room before we leave for the concert. That’s usually our preconcert standard.”

Jade is also a fan of Busby Marou so plans to arrive early to find a good spot to stand.

“I don’t know if I’m dressing up yet. I was so excited to get tickets. I think I was on the computer a half an hour earlier, and I didn’t think I’d get some,” she said. “We don’t get a lot of recognition up here so I’m really happy Elton is playing here.

“It’s usually us who are travelling to them.

“It’s really good he’s coming to a small town.”
