IT will be the last time Julie McLean cheers for Melbourne tomorrow and everything is crossed her son Jordan goes out with a bang.
The prop is moving to the Cowboys next year to be closer to his mum and his partner Brianna’s family, who live in Mareeba.
Ben Hampton is godfather to Archie, the youngest son of his former roommate and Julie, who has been in the Far North since 2013, said it had been interesting to watch the Cowboys’ run from “enemy” territory.
“They’ve done so well and I pretty much follow them since Benny plays for them and I’m quite close to the Hamptons,” she said.
“I think Jordan is trying not to think too much about him being a good mate.”
