MOVING ON FROM THE ROLE AT JCU

The Weekend Post - - Sport -

Q You held the title of Associate Professor at James Cook University before being made redundant recently. How do you reflect on your time there?

A I was extremely disappointed after everything we had achieved and I am disappointed for the students. We have loved our time in Cairns and have been so fortunate to work with the teams and staff I have. Cairns will always be a special place for Stephanie, the kids and myself.

Q There is not many sporting codes you have not touched on your time up here mate. It must have been an exciting journey?

A My family and I can honestly say we had the best experience in Cairns. The business side of things have changed in academic life and that has been well publicised. I love working with students and seeing them progress. Students working with the Northern Pride (pictured) was huge on my end. They learnt so much about recovery and what happens on game day. They were able to touch on things that are outside of a text book.
