Australia Day pool party
Horsham YMCA Community Committee will run an Australia Day Pool Party at the city’s aquatic centre tomorrow.
The pool party will be from noon until 3pm with admission $6 and supervising parents admitted free of charge.
The organising committee will provide food and drinks as well as music, games, competitions and prizes.
Participants will have an opportunity to take on an inflatable obstacle course as well as a Zorb ball.
The centre’s inflatable slide for young children will also be in the pool.
YMCA staff members are volunteering their time on the day and money generated from entry fees will go towards the YMCA’S Open Doors Foundation.
The foundation sponsored singles and families to access Horsham Aquatic Centre services last year.
Sponsorship included health and wellness classes, gymnasium membership, swimming lessons, hydrotherapy and aquatic passes.
Agencies such as the Salvation Army, Wimmera Uniting Care and Grampians Community Health refer their clients for support.
The YMCA has invited Horsham residents and visitors join the Australia Day fun.
