Horsham Hockey Club will give prospective hockey hopefuls a chance to explore the game at a come-and-try day at Horsham College’s Community Oval on Sunday.
Club secretary Bogna Collins said with the hockey season scheduled for April, the come-and-try day was a chance for anyone interested in the sport to get involved.
“Hockey equipment will be available to use on the day, but if you already have some gear, bring it along,” she said.
Activities will start at 10.30am and the club will provide a free barbecue lunch.
Horsham Club members will also be on hand to help new players get a taste for the game and answer questions.
“We would not only like to see lots of kids, but we would like to see some more adults,” Ms Collins said.
Hockey Victoria has been showcasing the sport at regional primary schools with a Hockey Roadshow.
