Magical Bunk Puppets in Stawell
The magic of puppetry will come to life at Stawell Entertainment Centre tomorrow night with a performance of play Slap Dash Galaxy by Bunk Puppets.
Ararat Performing Arts Centre is presenting the Stawell show from 6.30pm.
Bunk Puppets has won international acclaim with tours through Egypt, Japan, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, New Zealand and shows in Dubai and New York.
Award-winning Bunk Puppets has a reputation for an unusual, comical and imaginative approach to puppetry and theatre.
Slap Dash Galaxy is a tale of brothers Sam and Junior, who must flee their barren planet and embark on an epic quest across the galaxy.
Using the contents of a cleaning cupboard, Bunk Puppets’ Hamish Fletcher conjures up ‘lo-fi theatrical wizardry’ using only boxes, bubble wrap, drinking straws, tennis balls, ping pong bats and old toys.
Promotors have described the show as ‘a crazy shadow puppet universe’, all made up from bits of rubbish.
Tickets are $15, $10 for concession and under-17s and people can book at Araratpac. com.au.
