The Weekly Advertiser Horsham - - News -

Member for Lowan Emma Kealy will join state opposition emergency services representative Brad Battin in meetings with firefighters across her electorate on Friday.

The meetings will be at 10am at Casterton CFA Station, noon at Edenhope CFA station, 2.30pm at Dimboola CFA station and 4pm at Horsham State Emergency Service headquarters. A drop-in session – Your Fire Services – Have Your Say, will be at Horsham’s Royal Hotel at 5pm.

The meetings are designed for people to pass on their thoughts about the future of their fire services.

Ms Kealy said a parliamentary inquiry confirmed the Andrews Labor government had failed to consult firefighters before introducing legislation in an attempted political fix for the fire services.

Mr Battin said it was important to travel across the state to hear the views of firefighters to build a strong fire service.
