The Weekly Advertiser Horsham - - News -

Following the crowning of Horsham’s Dustin Cross as Victorian and Australian apprentice of the year, applications for the 2018 Victorian Training Awards are now open.

Now in their 64th year, the Victorian Training Awards recognise and honour the outstanding achievements of vocational education and training students, teachers and the businesses and training providers.

Training and Skills Minister Gayle Tierney said the longevity of the awards reflect the importance not only of individual achievements but also best practice and innovation in training.

Winners and finalists gain statewide recognition from the training and TAFE sector, industry experts, peers and the Victorian community.

The 2018 winners, announced in August, will each receive $5000 prize money and will represent Victoria at the 2018 Australian Training Awards.
