Sep­pelt Wines will host a free twi­light cin­ema event at its Great West­ern site dur­ing the Australia Day long week­end.

Or­gan­is­ers have en­cour­aged peo­ple to ‘pull up a deck chair, pic­nic rug or even a bean bag’ to en­joy an out­door screen­ing of hit Aus­tralian film ‘The Ad­ven­tures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’.

First re­leased in 1994 and star­ing Guy Pearce, Hugo Weav­ing and Ter­rance Stamp, Priscilla be­came a cult film and is now a mu­si­cal stage pro­duc­tion. The twi­light cin­ema will be on Jan­uary 27.

The win­ery’s bar and food stalls will open from 7pm, with the movie start­ing at sun­down, about 8.30pm.

Or­gan­is­ers en­cour­aged peo­ple to ar­rive early to en­sure a great spot on the lawn.

“Give your­self time to re­lax and en­joy a drink or our de­li­cious on­site cater­ing be­fore the film,” they said.
