Seppelt Wines will host a free twilight cinema event at its Great Western site during the Australia Day long weekend.
Organisers have encouraged people to ‘pull up a deck chair, picnic rug or even a bean bag’ to enjoy an outdoor screening of hit Australian film ‘The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’.
First released in 1994 and staring Guy Pearce, Hugo Weaving and Terrance Stamp, Priscilla became a cult film and is now a musical stage production. The twilight cinema will be on January 27.
The winery’s bar and food stalls will open from 7pm, with the movie starting at sundown, about 8.30pm.
Organisers encouraged people to arrive early to ensure a great spot on the lawn.
“Give yourself time to relax and enjoy a drink or our delicious onsite catering before the film,” they said.
Tickets are free and are available online at www.eventbrite.com.au by searching ‘Seppelt twilight cinema’.
