New golf club manager
Former national Singapore golf coach Paul Riley is Horsham Golf Club’s new general manager and director of golf.
The club’s board has confirmed his appointment in the dual role after an extensive recruitment and interview process.
Mr Riley, in charge of Hong Kong Jockey Club’s golfing operations, will shift to Australia with his family this month and take up his new role on June 18.
Mr Riley has an advanced status in golf management with Australian Professional Golfers Association and is a member of Club Managers Association of Australia, Europe and Hong Kong.
He is also on Hong Kong Professional Golfers Association’s board and the brother of former Australia Open winner and television commentator Wayne Riley.
On accepting the appointment Paul Riley said he was excited to be joining the Horsham club.
“It is an extremely well regarded golf course and with its modern facilities there is an enormous opportunity to re-establish it as one of Australia’s go-to courses in the broader golfing community,” he said.
