Council calls on community to fill advisory committee role
Horsham Rural City Council has called for expressions of interest for a community-representative vacancy on Horsham Aquatic Centre Advisory Committee.
The committee meets every second month and acts as the principal advisory body to the council on Horsham Aquatic Centre. It is made up of representatives from Horsham Rural City Council, YMCA Victoria, Horsham Swimming Club, a community health-service provider and the general public.
Council community services director Kevin O’brien said the committee’s purpose was to seek feedback and improve service standards and programs to meet the health, wellbeing and social needs of the community.
“Community representatives will be appointed for a two-year term. Nominations should include details of experience, health and community interests and an explanation of why the person has nominated,” he said.
